    Feed, Wake, and hopefully, Sleep

Things are on the up-turn. We're getting two segments of 3+ hours of sleep at night. I'm feeling much better, but still need to hold back in favor of rest. What else can I say? She is teaching me all the unspeakable mysteries of the universe. And then I promptly forget them all when she stretches or yawns.

A big thanks to all the friends who have called to say you are praying and have sent food! All of that has made the world of difference.

    Aftermath

The dust is settling and we are getting some sleep. Adah is doing well, a bit fussy at times, but that comes with the territory. Sandra is still exhausted from the labor, but fairing better.

I have uploaded some photos of Sandra and Adah together. (It took quite a bit of effort to get her in front of the camera.)

    Adah Lenore

First, let me say "Glory to God!"

We arrived home with Adah late Saturday morning after a very pleasant stay at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare. The labor was long, but everything went well. I will post the whole birth story at a later time.

I apologize to all my friends for not returning messages and such, we have just begun to get some real sleep. We appreciate all of your support and prayers.

    The Beginning

Sandra and I are waiting for the hospital to call us. Doctor's orders are to induce labor today, but we have to wait for a room to become available.

We are very excited and perhaps a bit anxious.

It is difficult to imagine that when we leave the house today, we will be returning with our child.

I anticipate that being able to participate in the birth will be the most profound and spiritual thing that I ever done. It will be like seeing the finger of God.
