In case you have not heard us moaning in agony over the estimate we received from the contractor to fix the water damage (and, err...termite damage) in our master bathroom, good for you. If you have heard the moaning, I'm here to tell you that we are in fact, quite excited about getting this project under way ourselves. We've done 90% of the demolition: tearing up the old shower, removing the garden tub deck, etc. We've ordered and received the clawfoot tub and faucets, and ordered the slate tile. Hopefully, when all is said and done, we'll be at half the cost the contractor quoted us with a much nicer end result, and, ah...not to mention the beauty of experience.
I will say, though, that the stuff that is inside your walls is just plain nasty. You just DO NOT WANT TO KNOW. Thank goodness for sheet rock. Nothing like ignorance. Bleh.
