The kid is a hoot. His sense of humor is more acute than most preschoolers I know (none I know personally, however). I will tell one story, not so much to convey his humor, but to relate how funny it is to be his mother:
Ranen was tired, but had woken up in the middle of his afternoon nap with a dirty diaper. After being cleaned and gotten up to play, he was still fussy and not willing to entertain himself. So, off to bed he went; I soothed him into a quiet state (not crying in disbelief at being put in the crib) and walked out of his room. He talked to his stuffed duck for a bit, then proceeded to loudly say "all done." I listened to him through the monitor, smiling at his astutue use of the phrase, while the tenor of the request increased. Finally, he must have looked around and found he was now big enough to reach his monitor on a small shelf near his crib. He grabbed the monitor while still saying "all done" very loudly. It was very funny from my perspective; I could see this little man, saying, "Come on lady, don't you get it?! I am all done with nap time!!!" Ahh...I laughed so hard, then I realized he could probably electrocute himself on the monitor power cord, so I went in and put an end to his rant.

So, where has the last ten months gone? INTO the ETHER. I bet ETHER is a nice, quiet place to be...
We're all doing well here. Adah recently performed in her school's Christmas program as the "dove from the rafters high." They were so cute, I teared up...AND that should tell you how cute it was. Be careful with that link too, be prepared for some crazy MIDI!
Christopher has been busy with Blue Spire. I've been busy learning how to handle being a mom...it's HARD work, man!!! No one ever told you, did they?
We all got the cold bug that was going around two weeks ago...I highly recommend sleep, 1000 mg of Vitamin C and a little concoction I like to call the feel better cocktail, a bag of chamomile tea and echinacea tea brewed in two cups of water. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. A big thanks to Christopher's mom for watching the children while I slept all day.
Well, that's all for now...all that I can distill through the lenses of time and my tired body. I hope you all have a blessed Christmas!
