I just returned to the land of the living after spend three days in bed with some virus. Yes, three days. Monday night through Thursday night. I'm pretty restless, but still a little weak and definitely unfocused. Mental whirlwind.
Anyway, I've been meaning post some of Adah's pictures. This little girl loves her camera. She's always taking pictures (when she's not taking someone down in Uno.) Here are a few of my favorite shots she has taken over the last 30 days, along with my commentary.
Post Christmas Panama City (PCPC)
Despite popular belief to the contrary we do visit family in Panama City. In honesty, it's been at least a year since we've been there. At least. We met my grandmother, Nedra, at Sweet Tease. Yummy! Here's a shot of Ranen enjoying his lunch. (In fact, he yelled at the waitress when she took his plate away.)
We had a good time having hanging out with my grandmother. We only had one spill between the kids, and it was ice water. (Grandma, I hope you're okay with me posting a photo of you!)
New Year's Eve in Fairyland
Adah staid in Panama City for New Years while the rest of us
headed back to Tallahassee to party the New Year up with Antje and Volker German-style. Of course, the fantasy land of grandchildhood rewarded young Adah with a fabulous, elephantine romp across the verdant, frozen beaches of Panama City. In case, you didn't follow that, my parents took her to play putt-putt golf. Of course, she didn't take this photo.
Self Expression
Adah is into self portraits.
Most of them look a lot like an emo MySpace pic. This one is really cool though. Something about it is almost magical; a single moment held captive. Notice Sandra in the kitchen through the window. If only Ranen had been standing a podium or dais for this picture.
Family Surprise
Adah makes up little photographic assignments.
One recent one was "bug eyes". She came up to me at my desk, which , "Dad, make 'bug eyes'!" I'll have you know that Adah said I did exactly what she wanted on the first try. The assignment really only lasted for two shots, but it's a compelling essays exploring the depths and crannies of human experience. I included Sandra shot because I like her.
