    Tallahassee Museum

IMG_0242Last weekend I took Adah and Ranen to the Tallahassee Museum in a effort to give Christopher some time to write uninterrupted. Here's a picture of Adah inside the red caboose.

Adah and Ranen have been under the weather all week, with the sickness culminating, I hope, last night with fevers, and sleepless parents (and lots of fluids coming out of poor Adah). I feel like our household grinds to a halt when everyone (including me) is sick. When you're in the mire, it feels as if you'll never climb out. I've blown my nose so many times in hopes of being able to breathe...

Check out the rest of the photos from our trip to the Tallahassee Museum here; Adah enjoyed being a archeologist for the day, as well.

    Happy Birthday, Ranen!

cupcake_webThis past weekend was a party marathon in the bennage household. We kicked it off with Ranen's 2nd birthday party. As you can see, a cup cake is all you need to keep a handful of toddlers occupied for more than two minutes.

I think Ranen is eyeing Aiden's cup cake with a greedy eye, but I can't be sure.

    ****

Ranen, all I can say is that you are a crazy cat. You came out with the sense of humor of an adult and I love that you can make me laugh without trying. You have a sweet spirit that is punctuated, duly, with a mischievous bent and a kind heart. I pray that you'll grow to be noble, truthful, and full of action; a man after God's heart.

    Adah is a rock star

I was attempting to win another Microsoft contest that turned out to be defunct.  The plan was to film a short video with Adah pretending to be a software developer commenting of the new features of the recently released Visual Studio 2008.

While the contest resulted in naught, the video reveals that Adah is, in fact, a rock star.  I am absolutely floored at what she is capable of. We're talking shock and awe here people, shock and awe.

    Now watch the video:

    Only: a grammatical poem

    I love you.
    Only I love you.
    I only love you.
    I love only you.
    I love you only.

English is such a fragile language. Be careful with your word placement.

    Kids, Be Dangerous!

I stumbled onto this video from TED. I think the speaker makes some great points, and I think that there are additional spiritual reasons that he doesn't even begin to address.

I'm also looking forward to the days when my kids are ready for this...
